OUR BEGINNING

Metro Corporation was founded in 1976 by Mike Pope. Originally named Metrowood Specialties, the company’s primary pursuit was wood fabrication for the glass and automotive industries. Since that time, we have expanded to include three companies with a total of seven facilities, all under the umbrella of Metro Corporation. With the leadership and direction of current owner Craig Pope, we feel our continued growth and success has been based on our exceptional customer service, the quality of our products, and our ability to stay competitive. With locations across the country, we are able to provide prompt deliveries with the highest level of quality.

This location houses the corporate headquarters, consisting of all administrative and accounting personnel.

 

AETNA GLASS COMPANY

 

As one of the largest suppliers of glass to the picture frame and hardware industries, we have provided the shortest lead times in the industry for over 30 years. Our three locations allow us to service our customer’s needs efficiently. We use only the highest quality American made float glass.

 

AETNA FRAME SUPPLY COMPANY

 

As a full line wholesale distributor to the picture framing industry, we carry a large selection of products to handle most of your framing requirements. We deliver using our own trucks within the state of Texas, and ship via U.P.S or common carrier throughout the United States.

 

CORSICANA/ KINGSBURG BOX COMPANY

 

Our two container plants, one in Corsicana, TX and the other in Kingsburg, CA, produce quality wooden shipping containers for the glass industry. We have been a proud supplier to Guardian Industries and other nationally known leaders in the glass industry for over 30 years. In addition to servicing the glass industry, we also build specialty containers and pallets for many diverse industries.

CUSTOMER QUALIFICATIONS

 Aetna Frame Supply Inc. is a wholesale distributor to-the-trade-only, and it reserves the right to determine the qualifications of a customer to purchase its products. A customer must be in the art and framing business or allied industry and must provide evidence of its legitimacy by way of an appropriate business License and Resale Number.

 

TERMS AND CREDIT

 Credit can be established by completing our credit application, listing three trade references, and your bank. Allow two weeks for processing. Open account terms are net 30 days. Orders will not be shipped to accounts with past due balances. Aetna Frame Supply Inc. will assess a charge of $33.00 for NSF checks. 

 

CHOP SERVICE

 All chops will have a standard 1/8-inch allowance (1/16 inch on each side) unless we are directed otherwise. Minimum chop size is 5 inches (wood or metal) per side, with a minimum charge based upon 3 feet.

 

Routing service for chops: (Wedges)
Aetna Frame Supply Inc. offers a routing service whereby your chops are routed and specially designed plastic inserts are provided to join the frames.

COSTS

Corners need to be glued and the wedges are inserted into the routed slots.

$4.43 per frame (1 wedge each corner)
